Printing process using rotogravure engraved
cylinders. The cylinder is placed inside the ink tray and by means
of scapping, excess inks fromengraved cylinders is limited to the
desired ink grammage that will be transferred to the printing films.
The print quality is superior than Flexographics printing method
and the cylinder life is longer than the flexographic printing method.
It is good for long runs and highly critical jobs with complex designs
(i.e, color separation, vanishing effect). The print quality is
more detailed because of higher number of screen lines.
Both Rotogravure
and Flexographics printing can be run using surface and
reverse printing methods. The following materials are commonly
used for this kind of printing:
11. PVC Metallized
12. LDPE – Low Density Polyethylene
13. LDPE White
14. LLDPE – Linear Low Density Polypropylene
15. HDPE – High Density Polyethylene
16. MDPE – Medium Density Polyethylene
17. ONy – Bi-Axially Oriented Nylon
18. CNy – Cast Nylon
19. and, other film materials
